Architectural concrete designs can impart an incredible variety of patterns to wall surfaces, from brick and stone imprints to custom graphics and are usually cast onto sound/retaining walls, building exteriors, etc.
Contrary to what a layman might think, placing a perfectly smooth plain-gray concrete wall is very difficult. The concrete that will be permanently exposed to view requires special care in selection of the concrete materials, forming, placing, and finishing to obtain the desired architectural appearance. It is important to remember concrete is very heavy and may require the use of heavy duty equipment to position the panel in place.
